GOAL 2: ZERO HUNGER
“END HUNGER, ACHIEVE FOOD SECURITY AND IMPROVED NUTRITION AND PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE”.
Today, 690 million people are suffering from malnutrition worldwide.* Sustainable agriculture, rural development and education on healthy diets are vital in order to guarantee food security, better nutrition and a world without hunger.
What’s our objective?
A healthy, balanced diet is vital for staying focused and productive, not just at home, but at work too. Which is why empowering co-workers to lead a balanced, more sustainable life is a top priority at deuter.
How do we contribute?
- We raise employee awareness about leading a balanced and sustainable life. For example, we subsidize lunches and organize a wide range of programs to encourage people to take exercise, such as JobRad and yoga courses. Another initiative rewards the employee taking the most sustainable form of transport and who therefore has the lowest carbon footprint.
- We also actively campaign for fair social standards in our supply chain. As a long-standing member of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) unter CSR Standards auf unserer Seite and the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles, we want to introduce living wages in our production sites on a permanent basis. A living wage is the foundation for a good diet and balanced lifestyle.
