5.4 Google Analytics

This website uses the web analytics service Google Analytics, provided by Google Inc., located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze your use of the website.

If you authorize their use, the following data will be processed:

  • date and time of access,
  • the pages you visited and your click path,
  • achievement of website goals,
  • user behavior (such as clicks, dwell time, and bounce rates),
  • approximate geographical location (region),
  • anonymized IP address,
  • technical information about your browser and he end devices you use, such as language settings and screen resolution,
  • Internet provider, and
  • referrer URL.

As a rule, the information these cookies collect is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. When Google Analytics is used, the cookies it places might also collect other personal data besides the IP address. Please note that Google may transfer this information to third parties if required to do so by law, or if such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.

Google will use the information generated by cookies on behalf of this website’s operator to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services relating to website use and Internet use to the website operator. According to Google, the IP address transmitted by your browser when using Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

The cookies used by Google Analytics might collect other personal data in addition to the IP address. To prevent Google Analytics from collecting information about your use of the website and transmitting it to Google Analytics, you can download and install a plugin for your browser at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. This plugin prevents information about your website visit from being transmitted to Google Analytics. This plugin does not prevent other analyses.

Please note that you cannot use this browser plugin when visiting our website on the browser of a mobile device (such as a smartphone or tablet). When you click on this link, an opt-out cookie is installed on your browser. This plugin prevents information about your website visit from being transmitted to Google Analytics. Please note that this opt-out cookie is only valid for this browser and this domain. If you delete the cookies for this browser, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted. To continue preventing Google Analytics from collecting data, you must click on the link again. Using the opt-out cookie serves as an alternative to the aforementioned plugin when using the browser on your computer.

To ensure that your personal data is optimally protected, Google Analytics has been extended on this website with the code “anonymizeIp." This code causes the last 8 figures of IP addresses to be deleted, which anonymizes your IP address (also known as “IP masking”). As a result, your IP address will be truncated by Google before it is transmitted within member states of the European Union or other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and thereby anonymized. Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

When Google Analytics is used, personal data may be transmitted outside the EU/EEA, specifically to the USA. To ensure that your personal data is adequately protected if transmitted to such non-EU countries, we have entered into what are known as EU-US Standard Contractual Clauses with Google. The European Court of Justice has decided that the USA does not have a sufficient level of data protection according to EU standards. Therefore, since there is no adequacy decision or suitable guarantees, your data might be processed by US authorities for control and monitoring purposes—possibly with no option for legal recourse. Whenever possible, we are in contact with the service provider to ensure the protection of your personal data with any additional measures that may be necessary.

The legal basis for this service, and for storing information on your end device and reading it later, is your express consent provided in accordance with § 25(1) sentence 1 of the German Teleservices Data Protection Act (TDDDG). You may revoke this consent at any time by deactivating the cookies in your browser settings or in our Cookie Consent Manager (note that consent cannot be revoked retroactively). The subsequent processing of your personal data is based on your express consent provided in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may revoke this consent at any time by deactivating the cookies in your browser settings or in our Cookie Consent Manager (note that consent cannot be revoked retroactively). Please refer to item 4 for more information.

Once placed, cookies are valid for a maximum of 14 months. Personal data collected via the cookies is deleted after 14 months unless another legal retention obligation exists.

You can find more information on this at: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and https://policies.google.com/ (general information on Google Analytics and Data Protection).

5.7 Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager, a website tag management service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. If deactivation is effected at the domain or cookie level, that deactivation remains in effect for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

In this case, personal data may be transmitted to countries outside the EU/EEA, specifically the USA. The European Court of Justice has decided that the USA does not have a sufficient level of data protection according to EU standards. Therefore, since there is no adequacy decision or suitable guarantees, your data might be processed by US authorities for control and monitoring purposes—possibly with no option for legal recourse. This website uses technology provided by trbo GmbH, Leopoldstr. 41, 80802 Munich (“trbo”). 5.9 Meta Pixel

Our website also uses the “Meta Pixel” from the social network Facebook, a service of Meta Platforms Inc., located at 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA (“Meta”).

This allows our website users to be shown interest-based advertisements ("Facebook ads") when they visit the Facebook social network or other websites that also use this process. Your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Meta server through the Meta pixel. We cannot influence the scope and further use of the data collected by Meta through this tool, so we are informing you based on our level of knowledge that: By integrating the meta pixel, Meta is informed that you have clicked on an ad from us or that you have accessed our corresponding website. If you are registered with a Meta service, Meta can assign the visit to your account. You may view and change the privacy settings of your Facebook profile at any time. Even if you do not have a Facebook profile and are thus not logged in, the service might learn and store your IP address and other identifiers.

By using the Meta Pixel, we aim to display our Facebook ads only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our website. The Meta Pixel helps us ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of users and are not bothersome. We can also use the Meta Pixel to track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical purposes, since it allows us to see whether users have been redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad.

The legal basis for using the Meta Pixel to store information on your end device and read it later is your express consent provided in accordance with § 25(1) sentence 1 of the German Teleservices Data Protection Act (TDDDG). The subsequent processing of your personal data is based on your express consent provided in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may revoke this consent at any time by deactivating the cookies in your browser settings or in our Cookie Consent Manager (note that consent cannot be revoked retroactively).

The installed cookies are valid for 30 days. The personal information collected via the cookies is stored for a minimum of 90 days unless other legal retention obligations apply.

If this service is used, personal data might be transmitted to countries outside the EU/EEA, specifically the USA. To ensure that your personal data is adequately protected if transmitted to such non-EU countries, we have entered into what are known as EU-US Standard Contractual Clauses with this service provider. The European Court of Justice has decided that the USA does not have a sufficient level of data protection according to EU standards. Therefore, since there is no adequacy decision or suitable guarantees, your data might be processed by US authorities for control and monitoring purposes—possibly with no option for legal recourse. Whenever possible, we are in contact with the service providers to ensure the protection of your personal data with any additional measures that may be necessary.

5.10 Microsoft Advertising

We use the conversion tracking tool Microsoft Advertising (formerly Bing Ads) for our online marketing initiatives, which is provided by Microsoft Corporation, located at One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA. Microsoft Advertising is an online marketing service whose Universal Event Tracking (UET) tool helps us display targeted advertisements via the Microsoft Bing search engine.

To do this, Microsoft Advertising stores a cookie on your computer if you visit our website via a Microsoft advertisement. We and Microsoft Advertising can see that someone has clicked on an ad, been redirected to our website, and visited a predetermined target page (the conversion page).

This tells us the total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to our website. However, we do not receive any information that personally identifies users.

If this service is used, personal data might be transmitted outside the EU/EEA, specifically to the USA.

The legal basis for installing cookies to store information on your end device and read it later is your express consent provided in accordance with § 25(1) sentence 1 of the German Teleservices Data Protection Act (TDDDG). You may also deactivate personalized advertising with Microsoft: https://about.ads.microsoft.com/de-de/ressourcen/richtlinien/personalisierte-anzeigen.

The cookies placed are valid for 13 months. The data collected via the cookies is stored for 13 months unless other legal retention obligations apply.

You can find more information on Microsoft’s data protection policy and the cookies it uses at https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement.

5.11 Pinterest

Our website uses the conversion tracking technology “Pinterest tag” for marketing purposes, which is provided by Pinterest Inc., located at 808 Brannan Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA (“Pinterest”).

If you have been redirected to our website from a pin on Pinterest, we will place a cookie on your computer that interacts with a tag that is also implemented in the form of a Java Script code from Pinterest. If the user is redirected to pages of this website from a pin on Pinterest and the cookie has not yet expired, the tag records certain user actions predefined by us which it can track (such as completed transactions, leads, search queries on the website, and views of product pages). When such an action is performed, your browser sends an HTTP request from the cookie to Pinterest’s server via the Pinterest tag that transmits specific information about the action (including the type of action, time, and browser type of the end device). This transmission allows Pinterest to create statistics about the usage behavior on our website following a redirect from a Pinterest pin, which we use to optimize our service. However, we do not receive any information that personally identifies users.

If you have a Pinterest account, Pinterest can also link the information collected about your visit to our website to your account. The information collected via the pixel can be used to display interest-based advertisements in your Pinterest account (also known as “retargeting”). You may view and change the privacy settings of your Pinterest profile at any time.

If this service is used, personal data might be transmitted outside the EU/EEA, specifically to the USA. To ensure that your personal data is adequately protected if transmitted to such non-EU countries, we have entered into a user agreement with Pinterest. The European Court of Justice has decided that the USA does not have a sufficient level of data protection according to EU standards. Therefore, since there is no adequacy decision or suitable guarantees, your data might be processed by US authorities for control and monitoring purposes—possibly with no option for legal recourse. Whenever possible, we are in contact with Pinterest to ensure the protection of your personal data with any additional measures that may be necessary.

The legal basis for using the Pinterest tag, and for storing information on your end device and reading it later, is your express consent provided in accordance with § 25(1) sentence 1 of the German Teleservices Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

The cookies placed are valid for 180 days. The data collected via the cookies is stored for a minimum of 180 days unless other legal retention obligations apply.

You can find more information on Pinterest’s data protection policy at: https://policy.pinterest.com/de/privacy-policy.

5.12 Google Recaptcha

Our website uses “Google reCAPTCHA” (“reCAPTCHA”). This service is provided by Google Inc., located at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).

The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to check whether data is entered on our websites (in a contact form, for example) by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the website visitor’s behavior based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the visitor accesses the website. For its analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various pieces of information (such as the IP address, time spent on the website by the website visitor, and mouse movements made by the user). The data collected through the analysis is transmitted to Google.

reCAPTCHA analyses run entirely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.

If the service is used, personal data might be transmitted to countries outside the EU/EEA, specifically the USA. Whenever possible, we are also in contact with the service provider to ensure the protection of your personal data with any additional measures that may be necessary.

5.15 OUTTRA

We use the OUTTRA Dealer Locator function, which is provided by 81 MEDIA GmbH, Ziegelbrennerstr. 5, 73074 Stuttgart ein.

For this function to be displayed, the tool must request the visitor’s IP address through cookies. The IP address is used only to send relevant information to the browser (meaning, the user). Therefore, the IP address is required to display this function. For the Dealer Locator function, the visitor's IP address is anonymized on the OUTTRA server. The anonymized IP address is used to query a database, which allows for the visitor’s approximate localization based on the non-anonymized part of the IP address. Visitors are then shown nearby dealers on the website.

The legal basis for storing information on your end device and reading it later is § 25(1) sentence 1 of the German Teleservices Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

You can learn more about OUTTRA’s data protection policy at: https://www.outtra.com/de-de/datenschutzerkl%C3%A4rung

When the visitor ends his/her browser session, neither 81 MEDIA GmbH nor Maier Sports stores any personal data.
