deuter celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2023 and thus launches an Anniversary Edition - in classic black and with a very special graphic. It is a tribute to the history of mountaineering and deuter's claim to continue shaping mountain sports with innovations. The Race Air, an extremely light and stable bike backpack with an excellent weight/comfort ratio. The bike-specific Aircomfort back system with a centrally divided mesh back reduces the contact surface and provides more space for the spine, which curves in the riding position. Mesh hip fins, perforated shoulder straps and back padding ensure maximum ventilation and a compact fit. The climate-neutral and PFAS-free backpack for sporty mountain bikers is made from bluesign® certified core material, 100% recycled fabrics and 100% environmentally friendly and resource-saving components.

100D REC PA HT BRIGHT

Lightweight and robust polyamide fabric. A high thread density ensures special strength. The ripstop structure is designed as a honeycomb structure and gives the fabric a special look.

> D stands for Denier – a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weigh 600 grams. The higher the value, the more robust (and often heavier) the material.
> PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly tear- and abrasion-resistant, easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
> PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are especially durable, elastic, and lightweight – ideal for textiles subject to high stress.
> REC stands for Recycled – the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.

Made without PFAS

This deuter product was manufactured by us without the use of per- and polyfluorinated chemicals. This reduces the use of substances that are harmful to the environment and health.

PFAS is used, among other things, as a coating for rain protection, as they have water, dirt and grease-repellent properties.

Instead, deuter now uses DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation, which is harmless to health and environmentally friendly.
