We have developed special systems tailored to the specific requirements of the various areas of application.

We present them here.

For maximum ventilation, we use small to medium-volume backpacks that are well suited to easier terrain. The permanently elastic spring steel frame forms the indestructible heart of the Aircomfort. It provides the airy mesh net with a stable tension, even when fully loaded, and creates a ventilation space between the backpack and back that allows the humidity to be extracted freely.

    The result:

up to 25% less sweating thanks to the maximum ventilation of the Aircomfort mesh back system. This puts less stress on the circulation, resulting in greater endurance – scientifically tested by the renowned Institute of Hohenstein.

The easiest way to carry large weights comfortably is when the backpack and wearer form a single unit. Our Aircontact principle starts here: The carry system sits directly on the body, and the weight is kept close to the body’s centre of gravity. This guarantees full control and an effective load transfer. At the same time, the breathable Aircontact back pads ensure noticeably comfortable ventilation with every movement through a pump effect.

    The result:

up to 15% less sweat than a backpack with conventional body contact – proven in a field test by Gabriel L.&T. in cooperation with the University of Erlangen – and simultaneous perfect load transfer.

    In every riding situation, a
bike backpack must firmly sit on the rider’s back. Our unique Airstripes system ensures a firm fit and ventilation: thanks to the low backrest it continuously circulates fresh air between the Airstripes pads with their ventilation channels and the wide AirMesh cover. At the same time, the weight is always kept close to the body. This prevents the build-up of centrifugal forces that could cause the backpack to break loose.

    The result:

in all riding manoeuvres, the backpack sits on the back in a safe and compact manner. At the same time, the Airstripes pads with their ventilation channels guarantee free air circulation to more than 80% of the back because of the low contact area.

  • Deuter ALPINE

With backpacks for alpine use, it is crucial to coordinate wearing comfort, durability and function in a weight-optimised way. The Alpine system is the answer to this challenge. Its two flexible Softstripe back pads nestle close to the back with every movement. Together with the slender packsack, the load is always kept close to the body’s centre of gravity. This guarantees full control over the backpack.

    The result:

the Alpine system combines a firm, secure fit for concentrated performances in difficult terrain with maximum wearing comfort and pleasant ventilation between the two Softstripe back pads.

  • Deuter LITE

Our lightweight backpacks prove their ability for fast-paced endurance sports and alpine day tours. Reduced to the bare minimum, light to medium loads can be worn comfortably, depending on the volume. However, durability should never suffer as a result. This is and has always been our company philosophy – because disposable products damage the environment and a backpack that falls apart in high mountain areas is even dangerous.

    The result:

our lightweights are designed for those wishing to travel light but without missing out on wearing comfort and durability.

The ergonomically shaped back pads of the Contact system nestle close to the back and distribute the weight of the load evenly. On the one hand, this protects your back and ensures comfort; on the other hand, it is easier to carry loads when they are worn close to the body. Open space between the pads offers pleasant ventilation, as does the robust but breathable 3D AirMesh cover.

    The result:

back-friendly wearing comfort is provided by ergonomically shaped Contact back pads that keep the weight of the load close to the body and evenly distributed.
