The easiest way to carry heavy loads comfortably is to have your backpack and carrier form a single unit. Our Contact carrying system keeps the weight close to the body's center of gravity. This guarantees full control and effective load transfer - even in demanding terrain.
Made without PFAS
This deuter product was manufactured by us without the use of per- and polyfluorinated chemicals. This reduces the use of substances that are harmful to the environment and health.
PFAS is used, among other things, as a coating for rain protection, as they have water, dirt and grease-repellent properties.
Instead, deuter now uses DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation, which is harmless to health and environmentally friendly.

By increasingly adopting materials and technologies for our collections that have a smaller carbon footprint, we are taking positive steps toward reducing our CO² emissions. But despite our greatest efforts, it’s impossible not to generate any emissions at all. And so, we’ve teamed up with ClimatePartner to offset all unavoidable CO² emissions. “The Rock&Roll 30 offers outstanding freedom of movement, and the climbing belt is always within reach. The flexible U-frame made of Delrin ensures that the load is taken off the shoulders, even when the hips are not encased in the padded fins. The ice-pick fixings are functional and solid. The special roll closure facilitates variable volumes and compactness, however the loops for the closure buckles are too narrow. Two daisy chains offer further fixing options.
