Terms and conditions
Participation in the raffle by deuter Sport GmbH, Daimlerstraße 23, 86368 Gersthofen, hereinafter referred to as the "Organizer," is free of charge and is exclusively governed by these terms and conditions.
Eligibility
Eligible to participate are natural persons residing in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg who have reached the age of 18, hereinafter referred to as "Participants." Participation is not limited to customers of the Organizer and does not depend on the purchase of goods or services.
Employees of the Organizer, Powderchase UG, and affiliated companies, as well as their family members, are not eligible to participate in the raffle. Furthermore, the Organizer reserves the right, at its own discretion, to exclude individuals from participating if there are legitimate reasons, such as:
a) Manipulation in connection with the conduct of the raffle, b) Violation of these terms and conditions, c) False or misleading information provided in connection with participation in the raffle.
For the prize (Regular Powderchase or Women Tourchase), participants are expected and required to have good physical condition (5-6 hours of physical fitness for freeriding, including small ascents), ski touring knowledge, and safe skiing abilities (black slopes and safe off-piste skiing).
Participants must also bring their own avalanche transceiver, probe, and shovel. Travel participants confirm that under these conditions, they are fit to travel and have no known health restrictions that would prevent their participation in the trip.
Participation
Participation in the raffle takes place through deuter's own website and through the partner pages of selected deuter retailers / distributors in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Participating retailers promote the individual websites created specifically for this raffle through their social media channels.
Participation is done by submitting the fully completed entry form on the deuter website.
Only fully completed entry forms will be eligible for the raffle. By submitting the entry form, participants accept these terms and conditions. Participation is only possible until the deadline. Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.
The promotional period for participation in the raffle begins on December 15, 2023, at 12:01 AM (Berlin time) and ends on January 2, 2024, at 11:59 PM (Berlin time).
Each participant may submit only one entry form for the raffle.
Prize, notification, and delivery of the prize
The following prizes will be awarded:
Among the participants of all deuter retailers or distributors in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, the prize will be 1 spot at the Regular Tourchase from January 18-21, 2024, 1 spot at the Regular Tourchase from February 1-4, 2024, each valued at €1,158, and 2 spots at the Women Tourchase from February 29-March 3, 2024, valued at €1,658.
A Regular Powderchase includes:
- 3 nights in accommodation with breakfast
- 3 days of freeriding, with two certified mountain guides from UIAGM
- Free backpack testing of the deuter ALPROOF avalanche backpack
A Women's Tourchase includes:
- 3 nights in accommodation with breakfast
- 3 days of freeriding, with two certified mountain guides from UIAGM
- 3 evening yoga sessions
- Free use of Völkl test products
UIAGM-certified mountain guides ensure organization and safety during the tour; participation is explicitly at one's own risk. Depending on conditions and weather, the tour destination may vary.
The determination of the winners will be made after the deadline by a random draw from all participants. The jury consists of representatives of the Organizer.
The winner(s) will be notified by the Organizer via email within two weeks after the deadline. In the event of undeliverable notification, the Organizer is not obligated to conduct further investigations and may select a new winner. If the winner does not respond within 5 days after the notification, the Organizer is also entitled to select a new winner.
The prize will be handed over exclusively to the winner. Transfer, exchange, self-collection, and cash payment of the prize are not possible. The winner is responsible for any potential taxation of the prize.
The Organizer reserves the right, at its discretion, to award a substitute prize of reasonable value if a prize described in these official rules is not available or cannot be awarded in whole or in part for any reason. If the actual value of the prize is less than any specified retail price, the difference will not be paid in cash. The Organizer makes no representations or warranties regarding the appearance, safety, or quality of the prizes. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. The Organizer does not replace lost or stolen prizes.
Should the organization or participation in the Powderchase weekends not be possible due to dynamic developments in the COVID-19 pandemic, such as an increasing number of infection clusters and new Corona measures, the claim to the prize may expire. The Organizer will assume the health regulations applicable at the event location for participation in the event and reserves the right to implement stricter rules to protect the health of all participants. In such cases, there is no entitlement to substitute prizes, payment of the prize's value, replacement dates, and/or reimbursement of already incurred travel costs.
Termination of the raffle
The Organizer expressly reserves the right to interrupt or terminate the raffle at any time without prior notice and without stating reasons or to adjust these terms and conditions.
Data protection
Participation in the raffle requires the provision of personal data. The participating person assures that the information provided about the person, especially first name, last name, email address, and country, is truthful and accurate. For non-cash prizes, further personal data, such as the address, will be requested from the winners after the end of the raffle as part of the prize notification. The collection and processing of personal data serve exclusively to conduct the raffle and, if necessary, to send out the prizes. All data will be stored only for the purpose and duration of the raffle and will be deleted after the end of the promotion, unless there are legal retention obligations.
In the event of winning, the winning person agrees to the publication of their name and place of residence in the advertising media used by the Organizer. This includes the announcement of the winning person on the Organizer's website and its social media platforms, as well as reporting during and after the event on the Organizer's social media platforms and printed materials.
Participants can at any time obtain information about their stored data from the Organizer, object to the use of their data, and request its deletion. A simple letter to deuter Sport GmbH, Daimlerstraße 23, 86368 Gersthofen, is sufficient for this purpose.

Granting of Rights by the Winners
By participating in the raffle, the participants commit to granting the Organizer, in the event of winning, free of charge, the right to use photographs, images, videos, or audio recordings of the winners created during the Powderchase for publication and communication purposes related to the raffle. The granting of usage rights is granted indefinitely.
Facebook Disclaimer
This raffle is not associated with Facebook/Instagram and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or organized by Facebook/Instagram. The sole contact person and responsible entity is the Organizer.
Liability
The Organizer shall not be liable for damages resulting from errors, delays, or interruptions in transmission, technical system malfunctions and services, incorrect content, data loss or deletion, viruses, or in any other way arising from participation in the raffle, unless such damages have been intentionally or grossly negligently caused by the Organizer (its organs, employees, or agents). The aforementioned limitation of liability does not apply in cases of injury to life, body, and health or in cases of deceitfully concealed defects.
Applicable Law
This raffle is exclusively subject to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The legal recourse is excluded.
Severability Clause
Should any provision of these terms and conditions be wholly or partially ineffective, the validity of these terms and conditions in other respects shall not be affected. Instead of the ineffective provision, the legally permissible regulation that economically comes closest to the purpose expressed in the ineffective provision shall apply. The same applies in the event of a loophole in these terms and conditions.
