My goal was simply to ride the world’s biggest slopes with the world’s best riders, to be judged there, and to make a name for myself.” But after seven competitive seasons and a bad winter, Fabian decided against the World Tour. His plan was to travel to distant lands without any stress, to ride powder, and to film.

But in 2023, he suffered a serious paragliding crash and was left paraplegic. Freeriding was out of the question for the time being. Fabian fought his way back, however, managed to take a few steps in no time, and even got back on skis—to hike up the mountain. It’s amazing what he’s accomplished and what a positive attitude he has toward life!
