Description
Extra Long, for people over the height of 185 cm. The reduced contact surface and large ventilation channels of the deuter Airstripes back system combined with perforated shoulder straps and hip fins (with pockets) ensure maximum airflow and even weight distribution – for a snug, secure fit over any terrain. A flat-format lid allows space for the head to move, even with a helmet on. Loops on the shoulder straps keep via ferrata set carabiners close at hand. And a large front zipper opening and side pockets mean equipment and gear are always easy to access.

Top features of the Trail 32 EL
SUPERIOR VENTILATION FOR A DRY BACK
The reduced contact surface and large ventilation channels of the deuter Airstripes back system combined with perforated shoulder straps and hip fins ensure maximum airflow. The back system also distributes the pack’s weight close to the body for a snug, secure fit over any terrain.
SAFE ON VIA FERRATAS
Loops on the shoulder straps keep the carabiners of the via ferrata set close at hand. That, combined with the backpack’s compact, snug fit provides enhanced safety when climbing fixed-rope routes.
PRACTICAL FEATURES FOR FAST ACTION
Thanks to a large front zipper opening and elastic front stash pocket, equipment and gear are always readily at hand, yet compactly stowed.
Extra long fit
Our Extra Long (EL) backpacks guarantee perfect carrying comfort for tall people! Athletes who are between 1.85 and 2.00 metres have difficulty finding backpacks that fit. More information about our fits.
Our unique Airstripes System takes care of that and offers effective ventilation. It consists of two contoured, air-channelled foam profiles that are covered with a highly breathable Wide AirMesh lining. The reduced contact surface results in an optimized fresh air circulation. Also, the pack’s load is kept close to the body and thus won’t throw the rider off balance.
THE RESULT:
The minimal contact surface area of the profiled Airstripes allows free air circulation over 80 % of the back, while still providing a secure, compact fit.
100% recycled PET material
The fabrics used for this model are made of post-consumer PET bottles.
Made without PFAS
This product has been manufactured by deuter without the use of per- and polyfluorinated chemicals with the aim of reducing reliance on substances that are harmful to the environment and health.
PFAS are used, among other things, as a waterproofing finish due to their water, dirt and grease-repellent properties.
deuter now uses an environmentally friendly DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish that is harmless to human and animal health.
ClimatePartner certified product
By increasingly adopting materials and technologies for our collections that have a smaller carbon footprint, we are taking positive steps toward reducing our CO² emissions. But despite our greatest efforts, it’s impossible not to generate any emissions at all. And so, we’ve teamed up with ClimatePartner to offset all unavoidable CO² emissions. From now on, when a deuter product is bought, the volume of emissions released by the manufacture and transportation of it will be compensated for through voluntary offsetting and targeted investment in select social and climate protection projects.
