Description

Extra Long, for people over the height of 185 cm. The reduced contact surface and large ventilation channels of the deuter Airstripes back system combined with perforated shoulder straps and hip fins (with pockets) ensure maximum airflow and even weight distribution – for a snug, secure fit over any terrain. A flat-format lid allows space for the head to move, even with a helmet on. Loops on the shoulder straps keep via ferrata set carabiners close at hand. And a large front zipper opening and side pockets mean equipment and gear are always easy to access.

600D PES REC BS
210D PA REC BS

  • > D stands for Denier – a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weigh 600 grams. The higher the value, the more robust (and often heavier) the material.
  • > PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly tear- and abrasion-resistant, easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
  • > PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are especially durable, elastic, and lightweight – ideal for textiles subject to high stress.
  • > REC stands for Recycled – the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.
  • > BS stands for bluesign®-certified – the material has been produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way according to the bluesign® standard.

Extra long fit

Extra long fit

Our Extra Long (EL) backpacks guarantee perfect carrying comfort for tall people! Athletes who are between 1.85 and 2.00 metres have difficulty finding backpacks that fit. More information about our fits

Airstripes System

Our unique Airstripes System takes care of that and offers effective ventilation. It consists of two contoured, air-channelled foam profiles that are covered with a highly breathable Wide AirMesh lining. The reduced contact surface results in an optimized fresh air circulation. Also, the pack’s load is kept close to the body and thus won’t throw the rider off balance.

THE RESULT:

The minimal contact surface area of the profiled Airstripes allows free air circulation over 80 % of the back, while still providing a secure, compact fit.

Made without PFAS

Made without PFAS

This product has been manufactured by deuter without the use of per- and polyfluorinated chemicals with the aim of reducing reliance on substances that are harmful to the environment and health.

PFAS are used, among other things, as a waterproofing finish due to their water, dirt and grease-repellent properties.

deuter now uses an environmentally friendly DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish that is harmless to human and animal health.

But despite our greatest efforts, it’s impossible not to generate any emissions at all. And so, we’ve teamed up with ClimatePartner to offset all unavoidable CO² emissions. From now on, when a deuter product is bought, the volume of emissions released by the manufacture and transportation of it will be compensated for through voluntary offsetting and targeted investment in select social and climate protection projects. A really good backpack. As I'm 1.98m tall, I found it very difficult to find a suitable hiking backpack. But I finally found one with the Deuter Trail 32. This backpack is comfortable for taller people, but I would see the comfort limit at 2m rather than 2.05m (as advertised), because I had to adjust the backpack to the largest possible length so that it fits comfortably and for my taste it could be 1-2cm longer (but it's perfectly fine as it is). Another point of criticism is the lack of a helmet net. This backpack is advertised as being good for via ferrata climbing (which it is) and the pictures also show how a helmet is attached to the helmet net at the back. However, there are only 4 loops for attaching the helmet net. The helmet net itself has to be purchased separately and is not included in the delivery. This is also stated in the product description, but I think that the helmet net could have been included for the price. And a note on the pictures that it is not included in the delivery would also have been nice.
