Carrer paths at deuter

Depending on performance and following discussions with your trainee supervisors, you can shorten the time your apprenticeship lasts.

It depends on the school you attend. Apprentices will usually spend one or two days at college each week. When training to become a textile and sewing technician, you will have blocks of classes. Which means you will spend several weeks in a row at school, but then spend more time in the company afterward.

An apprenticeship will usually last three years. If you opt for an apprenticeship in warehouse / logistics, or in textiles and sewing, you can complete your training in two years. Apprenticeships at deuter begin on 1 September each year.

In addition to a C.V. and covering letter, you should include two of your most recent school / high school reports. If you have any references from other internships or temporary jobs, you are welcome to add these too.

We offer a range of positions for students throughout the year. Please refer to our website regularly for current vacancies.

You must have enrolled in a degree course. All other (job-specific) requirements can be found in the relevant job vacancy notices.

We realize that flexibility is important when you’re juggling work with your studies. Which is why we can usually agree on a degree of remote work. But you will also be needed on site in some of our positions.

1. Find your ideal job on our website and apply.
2. Take part in an interview via Microsoft Teams or in person.
3. Optional: Take part in a task or a trial day to get a better idea of what to expect.
4. Agree on the terms of employment and sign contracts.
5. Begin!

You can apply between October and January for an apprenticeship position for the following year. At the start of the year, you will be contacted by our apprenticeship manager to discuss your application. If your application is successful, you will then be invited to a trial day. A final decision will then be made on the appointment of apprenticeships.

We welcome the fresh ideas and perspectives that young trainees or our ‘young talents’ bring to the company. Which is why we focus on trying to retain our students in the long-term. A student traineeship or work placement semester is often the first step in gaining a permanent position at deuter.

We need:

• Minimum 15 years or age
• Your availability (at least two weeks)
• Your resume

Applicants are selected approximately two months before each school vacation. It’s worth applying early to avoid disappointment as positions are a limited.

The crowning glory of any degree is the thesis at the end. Send us an inquiry and we will look into the possibility of you writing your thesis in one of our departments. It depends on the topics currently being worked on. And combining this with an internship is also an option.

We will gladly support you in finding a subject theme, so that it’s a win-win situation for both parties. It goes without saying that we will work closely with you and your university/ college to provide appropriate support during the process of writing your thesis.
