So you need to make sure you have a backpack that’s built for carrying your photography equipment and is comfortable too. Find out more!

deuter camera backpacks for professional photography equipment
Hiking, backpacking or cycling – a camera helps you hold on to those outdoor moments for longer, and share them with those who couldn’t join you. With a camera backpack you can carry your camera gear securely and in comfort. At deuter, we’ve equipped our hiking backpacks with camera compartments for your photographic equipment.
The result: a perfectly fitting back system, optimum carrying comfort, and fully padded photo gear compartments for SLRs, digital cameras, lenses and other photographic equipment from tripods to filters and reflectors, spare batteries and memory cards. When it came to designing the internal compartments and the backpack features, we used the advice of professional mountain athletes and photographers to help us create a fusion between a hiking backpack and a camera bag.
In collaboration with Michael Martin

What happens when a world-class photographer and a backpack pioneer come together?
Michael Martin is one of Germany’s most renowned photographers. His photographic career spans more than 40 years. His fascinating images, lectures, books and films have moved people all over the world. For the new deuter Jaypack the world-famous photographer returned to his hometown of Gersthofen in Germany – which is also home to deuter.

Test review for the Jaypack 34+
From mind the bumb
Innovative construction, well-thought-out design and theoretical preventive measures for every worst-case scenario can only be proven to be effective – or not – in practice. Which is why deuter has always tested its new products on athletes and mountain guides, putting them through their paces. For the new Jaypack 34+ camera backpack, however, we needed a different kind of specialist team to test it out.

Camera bags for backpacks
At the heart of our photo backpacks, we have the protective padded inserts: the Camera Box One and Camera Box Two. And you can use the camera bag on its own without the backpack – keeping your photo gear padded and secure.
