GUIDE ULTRA – Dolomites weekend with Tamara Lunger

With purchases of the Guide Ultra you’re in with a chance of embarking on a unique adventure in the Italian Alps. You and a friend will be guided by extreme alpinist Tamara Lunger on a multi-day mountain tour amidst the jagged peaks of the Dolomites, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Whether you walk back down or take to the skies, you’ll be fully involved in the planning of this adventure.

Dates: between June and October 2026

Duration: 3 days (incl. travel, tour planning, 2 overnight stays, half board)

EXPEDITION ULTRA – Climbing Aconcagua

With purchases of the Expedition Ultra, you will be given the chance to take part in a 14-day expedition to climb the highest peak in South America, Aconcagua. We’ve teamed up with our partners Grajales Expeditions who will take care of all the logistics for the guided mountaineering adventure to 6,961 meters. This exciting expedition will take place in Jan / Feb 2026.

Dates:

  • Option 1: 25.01.2026 - 12.02.2026 

  • Option 2: 01.02.2026 - 19.02.2026

Duration: 16 to 19 days (incl. travel and expedition)

Details of the Guide Ultra 

For alpinists who keep pushing themselves and want ultralight yet robust gear for their ambitious projects - developed with and tested by high-altitude mountaineer, expedition climber and deuter athlete Tamara Lunger.

Functional setup for rapid handling

The deuter Alpine back system delivers a solid, secure fit so the pack doesn’t impede agility in challenging alpine terrain, while also offering superior comfort. The roll-top opening is easy to use with gloves on, while unbreakable buckles, a detachable rope strap, and side compression straps all add to the adaptable functionality of this backpack for climbing and mountaineering.

In addition, the ripstop body fabric made of Dyneema® fibers is extremely durable, weighs less than water and is highly resistant to the impacts of abrasion, moisture, UV rays and chemicals.

Tamara Lunger is an extreme mountaineer and adventurer from South Tirol, Italy. Starting out as a ski mountaineer, she went on to make a name for herself with successful ascents to some of the highest and most difficult mountains in the world, including 8,000-meter peaks like K2, Lhotse and Manaslu. Known for her mental strength, her passion for the mountains, and her respectful approach to nature, Tamara counts as one of the most outstanding personalities of modern alpinism.

1. For the Tamara Lunger trip you must:

  • Be very fit and surefooted: Long ascents and exposed terrain will require physical fitness and good foot placement.
  • Have previous alpine experience: You should be familiar with rope techniques, how to use crampons and able to negotiate climbing sections (UIAA grade I–III)
  • Have a head for heights & good mental stability: Elevations, sheer drops and exposed passages should not be an issue.

Optional depending on the route:

Paragliding license and sufficient flying experience: A valid paragliding license and the ability to take off safely in alpine terrain.


2. For the Grajales Expeditions trip you must:

  • Be physically fit enough to manage a 7,000-meter peak. In other words, have above-average stamina levels!
  • Have excellent circulation: a healthy cardiovascular system.

The alpine weekend (Guide Ultra) with Tamara Lunger will take place sometime between June and October 2026. The winner will be able to offer date suggestions. The final decision will be made in consultation with Tamara Lunger to find a date that suits all parties.

The expedition (Expedition Ultra) up Aconcagua will take place in January/ February 2026 with Grajales Expeditions.

Our lucky winners will be informed between 2 and 3 October 2025.

*Product- and Serial number: The Ultra backpack models are a limited edition (120x of each SL model / 190x of each Regular model), and as such are given a product- and serial number. This numbers are printed on a fabric label inside the backpack, sewn into the edge of the roll-top opening.
