deuter has a long and rich corporate history. But we don’t rest on our laurels; instead, we’re constantly working to improve our products. We collaborate with outdoor professionals to create authentic, comfortable and functional backpacks, bags, sleeping bags and accessories. These are our strengths:
âś” Robust & high-quality: deuter products will last you for many years, as we prioritise high quality not only in the selection of our materials, but also in our workmanship and production.
âś” Customised fits for women & men: Tall athletes, in particular, with a height of around 1.85 m to 2 m, or women, often struggle to find the right backpack or sleeping bag. At deuter, we have developed products specifically for tall people in the EL (Extra Long) fit, and equipment adapted to the anatomy of women or petite people with narrow shoulders in the SL (Slim Line) fit.
✔ Lightness: To reduce the weight of our products as much as possible, we save weight right from the start of production by using special materials. We focus on optimised cut and ensure minimal use of materials. This results in products that are particularly lightweight yet very sturdy, so you aren’t weighed down by extra weight.
âś” Perfect fit: As we work closely with athletes, our product developers are able to design our products to be as comfortable, functional and back-friendly as possible.
âś” Sustainable: For us, sustainability means not only conserving natural resources but also social responsibility. As a partner of the Fair Wear Foundation, amongst other initiatives, we support our employees in the production countries and promote fair wages and working conditions.
âś” Environmentally conscious: For backpacks and other outdoor textiles, deuter does not use PFAS for waterproofing. Unfortunately, these chemicals, which are harmful to health and the environment, are still used far too often due to their water- and dirt-repellent properties. Since 2020, all deuter products have been manufactured without PFAS, thereby reducing the burden on the environment: the DWR waterproofing still ensures that our textiles are water-repellent.
