deuter repair service: warranty statement
The lifetime repair service offer applies to incidental damage to deuter products, provided repair is possible.
Repair - Guarantee within the warranty period
As the manufacturer, we assume a voluntary warranty of two years from the date of purchase for every deuter product, in addition to the statutory warranty claims to the specialist dealer. The warranty can be claimed in all countries in which a deuter product was sold authorized by us. Within this two-year warranty period, we will repair or replace the product free of charge to eliminate all defects that are based on material or manufacturing defects. Interventions by service providers not authorized by us and the use of third-party spare parts (not original deuter) will void the warranty.
Exceptions
Excluded from the warranty are all damages that are not based on a material or manufacturing defect. This includes, for example, damage due to improper use, own fault, wear and tear or signs of use to be expected in accordance with the application, weathering and environmental influences, damage by third parties as well as defects which only have an insignificant effect on the value or usability of the product.
Repair service outside the warranty
If the voluntary warranty does not apply or if the warranty period has expired, we will repair any defects that arise for a reasonable share of the costs. All repairs are subsidized by deuter. The aim of the repair is to restore functionality. Our repair service works with original deuter spare parts and materials to repair the defects in the best possible way and in the long term. The materials used are carefully selected, however, the original material can not always be used, so slight optical changes may occur.
In our repair workshop we try to repair all defects that arise. Unfortunately, this is not always possible for processing and safety reasons. If a product is beyond repair, no repair costs will be incurred. Costs already incurred, due to the processing effort at the dealers or shipping, are not covered by deuter. We therefore recommend that retailers as well as end customers who make use of the deuter Customer Service first send a repair request to the respective contact person at deuter and only send in the product after confirmation of the cost estimate.
