European Outdoor Conservation Association
We can’t run a business on a dead planet. That’s why we’ve joined 158 other outdoor equipment manufacturers in the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA), to support selected conservation projects around the world. One of its current focus points is on fighting plastic pollution.

1% for the Planet
It is our collective responsibility to preserve the magnificent world that nature provides. And we as a company want to make a lasting, ongoing contribution to that cause. That's why deuter joined the 1% for the Planet initiative. Our involvement supports environmental projects around the world.

Helping Hands for Nepal
Nepal is one of the world’s most spectacular backpacking destinations. But for us, the region holds far greater significance than simply as a vast playground for outdoor pursuits. deuter has been supporting Nepalhilfe Beilngries, a charity providing aid to Nepal, for many years. Our desire is to extend a helping hand to a nation that’s already given so much to countless alpine enthusiasts from all over Europe.

Camber Outdoors
Together we are stronger – and that’s especially true when it comes to the workplace. We know that we benefit as a company, because our employees come from a diverse range of social, ethnic, religious and gender-related backgrounds. Therefore, we have teamed up with the American organization Camber Outdoors to keep fostering a more inclusive workplace culture and a more inclusive outdoor industry.

ClimatePartner
Climate change is one of the most urgent challenges facing our planet. And it won’t be stopped by declarations alone. We’re doing something about it. Right now. We are working to continuously reduce the CO2 footprint at all deuter locations and in our production facilities worldwide. Our headquarters and the entire product range are already ClimatePartner-certified. To implement our climate goals, we’ve teamed up with the international experts at ClimatePartner.

Jobrad program for healthy and green commutes
One of the most important challenges for the future is to rethink how we get about. An increasing number of deuter co-workers are using a company bike, leased by us, to get to work. We’ve partnered with JobRad, a company that provides simple and affordable solutions.

Standing up for children, young people, parents and families
Society faces a whole host of challenges these days: The decrease in welfare state programs and falling real incomes, the growing gap between the poor and wealthy, a shrinking middle class, excessive pressure to perform and increasing demands of the labor market on educational qualifications are just some. Then there’s increasing individualization, and endless freedom of choice (which often leaves people feeling dazed), demographic changes and the discrimination against a rising number of immigrants. As a result, more and more people are feeling overwhelmed.

Protect Our Winters – Together for the powpow
Putting down first tracks through the pow is, without a doubt, the highlight of any winter. But how much longer can we expect to experience that? With climate change threatening our winters and our very existence as we know it. deuter has teamed up with the nonprofit climate organization Protect Our Winters (POW) Europe – because we view it as our responsibility to protect what we love for future generations. It’s a commitment to help encourage each and every one of us to act responsibly. And it’s further evidence of the deuter Promise sustainability strategy in action.

Elk-Kids: Learn in and from nature
Learning in a play-based way, through the natural environment is ELK’s (Environmental Learning for Kids) mission. The non-profit organization based in Colorado, USA, supports underserved urban youth with outdoor-based learning programs. We like what they’re doing so much that we’re lending them our support – both financial and material, through the supply of deuter products.
