- D stands for Denier – a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weigh 600 grams. The higher the value, the more robust (and often heavier) the material.
- PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly tear- and abrasion-resistant, easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
- PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are especially durable, elastic, and lightweight – ideal for textiles subject to high stress.
- REC stands for Recycled – the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.
- BS stands for bluesign®-certified – the material has been produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way according to the bluesign® standard.

Gemaakt zonder PFAS
Dit product is gefabriceerd zonder het gebruik van per- en polyfluorchemicaliën. Dit vermindert het gebruik van stoffen die schadelijk zijn voor het milieu en de gezondheid.
PFAS wordt normaliter o.a. gebruikt als coating voor regenbescherming, omdat ze water-, vuil- en vetafstotende eigenschappen hebben. In plaats daarvan gebruikt deuter nu een DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnering, die onschadelijk is voor de gezondheid en het milieu.

Wallet version 1.0 was perfect for my use. I bought the first one in Kiel, (Dec 1st, 2017) and today (Jan 28, 2026) I replaced it with the one I´ve purchased in anticipation (Aug 21, 2025). That´s to say, almost a decade of intense daily use safely containing and locking all inside. The surprise is the design has changed. The pockets for credit cards have been reduced due to a new double-stitched ribbon. Where I used to keep up to nine card, I can now keep only 3 that are almost too tight. Please, reconsider returning to the previous version. I´ll certainly go immediatley for my Zip Wallet #3. // David
