Down sleeping bag
Specification
Description
Made with RDS-certified down and designed for taller people, this sleeping bag offers excellent insulation for high-alpine winter expeditions. Stretch seams in the lining hug the body, reducing the space to be warmed by 25%. The combination of a ThermoHood and PeakDesign construction in the upper half and PowerBox system in the lower section, keeps the down evenly distributed for consistent in cold-sensitive areas. And the 3D footbox leaves plenty of space for your feet.

- > PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly tear- and abrasion-resistant, easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
- > PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are especially durable, elastic, and lightweight – ideal for textiles subject to high stress.
- > REC stands for Recycled – the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.
- > BS stands for bluesign®-certified – the material has been produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way according to the bluesign® standard.

Top features of the Astro Pro 1000 EL -19C/-2F
Optimal fit for regenerative sleep
A good night’s sleep is essential for restoring energy levels. The mummy fit with stretchy ThermoStretch seams inside not only helps retain warmth but also gives the fill stability and a cozy feel. The ThermoHood wraps around the head, while the Ergofoot Pro 3D footbox allows for plenty of wiggle room. And the 360° insulation system results in evenly distributed warmth no matter how much you move in your sleep.
Effective insulation for increased performance
The ThermoHood contoured hood combined with the PeakDesign construction in the upper section and PowerBox system in the foot zone mean that the 750 cuin RDS-certified down is evenly distributed for consistent insulation performance. And no cold bridges thanks to the 360° insulation and trapezoidal shaped baffles. The ThermoStretch seams inside also make it quick to warm by contouring the body which reduces the space to be warmed by 25%.
Resource-efficient production for a clear conscience
As a bluesign®-accredited product, it meets the highest environmental and sustainability standards. It is made with 90%+ materials from bluesign®-certified factories, and with components made using environmentally friendly, resource efficient manufacturing practices. This sleeping bag is also Green Button certified and ClimatePartner certified and is made without PFAS – a clear statement of our commitment to responsible manufacturing.
Extra long fit
deuter’s EL sleeping bags are designed for taller outdoor fans. The EL stands for Extra Long and offers those taller than 1.85 m (or 6’1”) the space they need for a comfortable night’s sleep. The longer shape delivers evenly distributed thermal efficiency to prevent any cold bridges. While the ergonomic design creates a comfortable sleeping position and superior heat retention. EL sleeping bags are the ideal choice for taller people who refuse to compromise on comfort simply due to their height.
Made without PFAS
This product has been manufactured by deuter without the use of per- and polyfluorinated chemicals with the aim of reducing reliance on substances that are harmful to the environment and health.
PFAS are used, among other things, as a waterproofing finish due to their water, dirt and grease-repellent properties.
deuter now uses an environmentally friendly DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish that is harmless to human and animal health.
Green Button certified product
The Green Button is a government-run certification label for sustainable textiles. Everyone who aims to purchase socially and environmentally sustainable clothes should look out for the Green Button. There is currently no other label like the Green Button. It demands that mandatory standards are met to protect people and the environment. A total of 46 stringent social and environmental criteria must be met, covering a wide spectrum from wastewater to forced labour. Read more information here.
bluesign® product
Consumer products that carry the bluesign® product label conform to the strict safety and environmental requirements of the bluesign® system criteria. The textiles and accessories used to manufacture the products with the bluesign® approved label are produced in a way that saves valuable resources and has a minimum impact on people and the environment.
ClimatePartner certified product
By increasingly adopting materials and technologies for our collections that have a smaller carbon footprint, we are taking positive steps toward reducing our CO² emissions. But despite our greatest efforts, it’s impossible not to generate any emissions at all. And so, we’ve teamed up with ClimatePartner to offset all unavoidable CO² emissions. From now on, when a deuter product is bought, the volume of emissions released by the manufacture and transportation of it will be compensated for through voluntary offsetting and targeted investment in select social and climate protection projects.
