Ideal usage
- D stands for Denier – a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weigh 600 grams. The higher the value, the more robust (and often heavier) the material.
- PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly tear- and abrasion-resistant, easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
- PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are especially durable, elastic, and lightweight – ideal for textiles subject to high stress.
- REC stands for Recycled – the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.
- BS stands for bluesign®-certified – the material has been produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way according to the bluesign® standard.
Top-Features of Freecline 15
If the attachment for an ice axe or poles isn’t needed, it can be used for attaching skis diagonally across the pack. And by linking the side compression straps, a snowboard is attached to the front in no time at all.
All-mountain skiing or boarding means anything from big wide turns, challenging bumps, big air and floaty pow. When moving through such varied terrain the Freecline needs to create a solid fit and keep the load close to your center of gravity. And that’s down to the comfortable deuter Alpine back system with ergonomic shoulder straps, 2-way adjustable sternum strap and wrap-around hip fins.
Quick access to extra layers or snacks in the main compartment, a well-organized and easy-to-access emergency equipment compartment inside, and an intuitive system for attaching skis or a snowboard make the Freecline a practical backcountry companion - especially when things get serious and safety equipment needs to be accessed fast.

ClimatePartner certified product
By increasingly adopting materials and technologies for our collections that have a smaller carbon footprint, we are taking positive steps toward reducing our CO² emissions. But despite our greatest efforts, it’s impossible not to generate any emissions at all. And so, we’ve teamed up with ClimatePartner to offset all unavoidable CO² emissions. From now on, when a deuter product is bought, the volume of emissions released by the manufacture and transportation of it will be compensated for through voluntary offsetting and targeted investment in select social and climate protection projects. Green Button certified product
The Green Button is a government-run certification label for sustainable textiles. Everyone who aims to purchase socially and environmentally sustainable clothes should look out for the Green Button. There is currently no other label like the Green Button. It demands that mandatory standards are met to protect people and the environment. A total of 46 stringent social and environmental criteria must be met, covering a wide spectrum from wastewater to forced labour. Read more information here.
