This ultralight alpine backpack in tough, ripstop Dyneema® fabric delivers excellent carrying comfort at minimal weight. The Alpine back system combines a solid, secure fit with superior comfort. The roll-top opening is easy to use with gloves on, while unbreakable buckles, a detachable rope strap, and side compression straps give it quick handling in challenging conditions. When correctly closed, this backpack protects contents from rain and spray water in line with IPX4 water resistance standards.

420D PA FD RIPS

D stands for Denier – a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weigh 600 grams. The higher the value, the more robust (and often heavier) the material.
PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly tear- and abrasion-resistant, easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are especially durable, elastic, and lightweight – ideal for textiles subject to high stress.
REC stands for Recycled – the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.
BS stands for bluesign®-certified – the material has been produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way according to the bluesign® standard.

The Alpine back system delivers a solid fit for full-focus technical terrain, combined with superior carry comfort. The roll-top opening is easy to use with gloves on, while unbreakable buckles, a detachable rope strap, and side compression straps all add to the adaptable functionality of this backpack for climbing and mountaineering.

The ripstop body fabric made of Dyneema® fibers is extremely durable and highly resistant to the impacts of abrasion, moisture, UV rays and chemicals. So that it protects contents from moisture, dust, and rock. All safety related components on the pack, like buckles and hooks, are made from hard-wearing aluminum to make it even more durable and give it safer handling in all conditions.

The clever design and use of lightweight materials plus stripped down feature set, combined with the Alpine back system, make this expedition-grade backpack a real featherweight in its category, at just 570 grams (Guide Ultra 26) and 540 grams (Guide Ultra 24 SL). So you can put more energy into the trail and less into carrying the load.

SL Women’s Fit

This model is also available in the SL version. The SL back length is specific for women: on average, women have shorter backs than men. The carrying system in the SL model is therefore somewhat shorter than in the deuter standard backpacks. In addition, the carrying system is specially adapted to the female anatomy. Made without PFAS

This product has been manufactured by deuter without the use of per- and polyfluorinated chemicals with the aim of reducing reliance on substances that are harmful to the environment and health.

PFAS are used, among other things, as a waterproofing finish due to their water, dirt and grease-repellent properties.

deuter now uses an environmentally friendly DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish that is harmless to human and animal health.
