Neoprene

Neoprene is a foamed elastomer that is usually laminated on both sides with fabric (nylon or Lycra). This protects the surface, making it less prone to damage. We use neoprene for our hip belts, which need to be smooth, extremely flexible and durable. In addition, we appreciate the flexible and protective qualities offered by “Neo Belt”..

Neoprene

  • > D stands for Denier – a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weigh 600 grams. The higher the value, the more robust (and often heavier) the material.
  • > PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly tear- and abrasion-resistant, easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
  • > PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are especially durable, elastic, and lightweight – ideal for textiles subject to high stress.
  • > REC stands for Recycled – the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.
  • > BS stands for bluesign®-certified – the material has been produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way according to the bluesign® standard.
Made without PFAS

Made without PFAS

This deuter product was manufactured by us without the use of per- and polyfluorinated chemicals. This reduces the use of substances that are harmful to the environment and health.

PFAS is used, among other things, as a coating for rain protection, as they have water, dirt and grease-repellent properties.

Instead, deuter now uses DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation, which is harmless to health and environmentally friendly.
