Ideal usage
- D stands for Denier – a unit of measurement for yarn weight. 600D means that 9,000 meters of yarn weigh 600 grams. The higher the value, the more robust (and often heavier) the material.
- PES stands for Polyester. Polyester fibers are highly tear- and abrasion-resistant, easy to care for, and absorb very little moisture.
- PA stands for Polyamide (also known as nylon). Polyamide fibers are especially durable, elastic, and lightweight – ideal for textiles subject to high stress.
- REC stands for Recycled – the material is made entirely or partially from recycled resources.
- BS stands for bluesign®-certified – the material has been produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way according to the bluesign® standard.

Backsystem
AIRCOMFORT
Maximum Ventilation
thanks to the gap created between the mesh and a person’s back.
Steady load Distribution
thanks to the lightweight, flexi spring steel frame.
The benefits
By stabilizing and evenly distributing the load this back system relieves strain on the back over longer distances. Effective ventilation across the back reduces the burden on the circulatory system, thereby saving energy.

Made without intentionally added PFAS
PFAS, sometimes also referred to as PFCs, have been used in outdoor textile finishes for their water-, dirt-, and greaserepellent properties. Many PFAS are highly persistent and can accumulate in the environment over time.
Since 2020, deuter has used DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finishes without intentionally added PFAS. These finishes are selected in line with deuter’s chemical management requirements and applicable product safety standards.

Great Backpack
This is my second rucksack, same size, similar colour. Futura 32 Hiking backpacks, atlantic-ink, Volume: 32 l I had my first one for about 20yrs. Nothing wrong with it except the material was thick and I wanted a lighter one. I miss the zipped side pockets and the bottom pouch is smaller. It is very comfortable and very easy to open and use. One big miss is a velcro button for the front open pocket. It needs something to keep it closed. Items easily fall out of this pocket. Otherwise I highly recommend this backpack.
