The SchmusebÃ¤r (or cuddly bear) is a classic among children's backpacks. With just the one buckle and a child-friendly drawstring on the main compartment it is easy to use. Reflective print also gives this pack improved visibility on the way to and from kindergarten. The pocket in the lid or the elasticated side pockets offer additional storage space for their special treasures. The SchmusebÃ¤r comes in three colorful options: In blue, grey or magenta with bright patterns. Thanks to the height-adjustable chest strap, the straps remain firmly fixed on the shoulders, even during the wildest of adventures.

Material

600D PES

Woven from 600 denier polyester yarn and with a thick PU coating, this tear resistant and light fabric is highly versatile. Whenever it’s about keeping the weight of the backpack as low as possible with moderate stress, then this is the ideal solution. The “deuter Super Polytex BS” version is produced in compliance with the stringent bluesign® standard. Its features and stress factors are identical.

D stands for Denier and describes the linear mass of the yarn: 9,000 m of 600D yarn weighs 600 g. The denier value alone does not indicate how robust the finished fabric is.PES stands for polyester.PA stands for polyamide (nylon).

Made without intentionally added PFAS

PFAS, sometimes also referred to as PFCs, have been used in outdoor textile finishes for their water-, dirt-, and greaserepellent properties. Many PFAS are highly persistent and can accumulate in the environment over time.

Since 2020, deuter has used DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finishes without intentionally added PFAS. These finishes are selected in line with deuter’s chemical management requirements and applicable product safety standards.
