The revival of a classic! It was even there when deuter revolutionized the backpack market in 1984 with the introduction of the Aircomfort back system, the first fully-ventilated back panel on a hiking backpack, which has subsequently been copied countless times. The classic look reminds us of the good old days, but with modern functions.

Backsystem
AIRCOMFORT
Maximum Ventilation
thanks to the gap created between the mesh and a person’s back.
Steady load Distribution
thanks to the lightweight, flexi spring steel frame.
The benefits
By stabilizing and evenly distributing the load this back system relieves strain on the back over longer distances. Effective ventilation across the back reduces the burden on the circulatory system, thereby saving energy.

Made without intentionally added PFAS
PFAS, sometimes also referred to as PFCs, have been used in outdoor textile finishes for their water-, dirt-, and greaserepellent properties. Many PFAS are highly persistent and can accumulate in the environment over time.
Since 2020, deuter has used DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finishes without intentionally added PFAS. These finishes are selected in line with deuter’s chemical management requirements and applicable product safety standards.
