Description

Dedicated to its history: In 1990, the Bike 1 was the first biker backpack worldwide. Thanks to the fact that this old hand continued to be developed, it is now a highly functional and modern bicycle backpack for day tours. Its clean design and well thought out functions make it the ideal professional companion for bikers on trails in the mountains or going to the ice-cream parlour in the city.

210D PA
We use this robust polyamide fabric in the 420 and 210 denier strengths. This fabric is extremely abrasion resistant thanks to the extraordinarily high density of the weave. This high quality material is used for guide backpacks, the Futura series and for the models in the Travel series. It has a fine texture and a technical appearance. PU coated.

  • * D stands for denier. This describes the yarn weight. 600D corresponds to 600 grams per 9000 meters.
  • * PES stands for polyester. PES fibres are very tear and abrasion resistant and hardly absorb moisture.
  • * PA stands for polyamide. PA fibres are extremely durable and abrasion-resistant. They are also characterized by high elasticity and low weight.

AIRSTRIPES SYSTEM

AIRSTRIPES SYSTEM
Airstripes System
  1. 3D AirMesh lined shoulder straps. Anatomically formed, they guarantee comfortable movement range. The chest strap further secures the fit.
  2. Breathable Mesh wings on the hip belt stabilize the load.
  3. Two contour-shaped layers of knobbly foam with AirMesh lining and minimal back contact provide maximum airflow.
  4. Flexible aluminium stays within the foam profile can be bent to fit the back exactly. (Bike I, Superbike and Trans Alpine).

PFAS free

This product is free from PFAS (per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances). PFAS have water, dirt and grease repellent properties but they are persistent chemicals and harmful to people, animals, and the environment.

Instead, deuter uses durable water-repellent finishes (DWR) that are environmentally sound and harmless to human and animal health, and free from these ‘forever chemicals’.

Wow, was ein großartiger Tagesrucksack. Werkzeug, Punpen, Schlauch, Handy, Geldbörse, Wechsel-Shirts, Buff, Teekanne 0,5 L., Verpflegung, etc. etc. Admittedly, I have been a Deuter fan for decades. My Trans Alpine 30 backpack has covered many thousands of kilometers and is still in top shape today. Zippers, seams, outer material, etc. are all top notch. My "small 9 liter daypack" has been a Camelbak "Blowfish" for years and no one knows it that old anymore - except me. Unfortunately, the zippers are no longer working properly. So I decided at short notice to buy the Deuter classic - Bike 1 - 14 liter backpack in black. Wow, what a great daypack. Tools, pumps, tube, cell phone, wallet, spare shirts, buff, 0.5 liter teapot, food, etc. etc. - the things that disappear into this small backpack - crazy - and everything, but really everything, finds a proper place. Really great space organization. And then there's this helmet net - finally a simple and clever solution. You can see that I'm delighted. The comfort and fit (I'm 193 cm tall) is top notch and the backpack can be worn for hours without any problems, just like I was used to with my 30 liter Trans Alpine. Conclusion: Yes, I'm totally impressed - no, I'm not sold. 5 stars for this sensational 14 liter bike and hiking backpack!!!
