Top features of the Futura 34 EL
Innovative back system features for a comfortable carry
Our new VariClick system offers five-stage back length adjustment for a tailored fit. This easy-to-use feature benefits from an audible ‘click’ when in position. And because it stems from the center of the pack, it creates an evenly adjusted length. Anchored directly to the frame, the shoulder straps deliver impressive load transfer. And two positions for the stabilizer straps means the system adapts to different sizes. The hip fins distribute the load evenly onto the hips. And the continuous one-piece padding for the hip fins and shoulder straps eliminates pressure spots and increases the carrying comfort.
Clever stow options for at-the-ready organization
Quick-release pole attachments on the shoulder straps keep them close at hand for when they’re needed. A large stretch pocket at the side has dual access to keep items like a water bottle within reach without having to remove the pack. Two hip fin pockets, two lid compartments, a separate bottom compartment and a large stretch pocket on the front keep you organized on the move. And this pack has quick access to the main compartment via the spacious opening at the top.
Optimum ventilation to save energy
We’ve selected the materials for our Aircomfort back system with ventilation in mind, making it even lighter and airier for superior carrying comfort. Extending the back mesh into the lumbar region and using softer mesh, not only results in improved ventilation but also gives it a supple, wrapping fit.
AIRCOMFORT SYSTEM
Maximum Ventilation
thanks to the gap created between the mesh and a person’s back.
Steady load Distribution
thanks to the lightweight, flexi spring steel frame.
The benefits
By stabilizing and evenly distributing the load this back system relieves strain on the back over longer distances. Effective ventilation across the back reduces the burden on the circulatory system, thereby saving energy.
Made without PFAS
This product has been manufactured by deuter without the use of per- and polyfluorinated chemicals with the aim of reducing reliance on substances that are harmful to the environment and health.
PFAS are used, among other things, as a waterproofing finish due to their water, dirt and grease-repellent properties.
deuter now uses an environmentally friendly DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish that is harmless to human and animal health.
Green Button certified product
The Green Button is a government-run certification label for sustainable textiles. Everyone who aims to purchase socially and environmentally sustainable clothes should look out for the Green Button. There is currently no other label like the Green Button. It demands that mandatory standards are met to protect people and the environment. A total of 46 stringent social and environmental criteria must be met, covering a wide spectrum from wastewater to forced labour. Read more information here.
bluesign® product
Consumer products that carry the bluesign® product label conform to the strict safety and environmental requirements of the bluesign® system criteria. The textiles and accessories used to manufacture the products with the bluesign® approved label are produced in a way that saves valuable resources and has a minimum impact on people and the environment.
ClimatePartner certified product
By increasingly adopting materials and technologies for our collections that have a smaller carbon footprint, we are taking positive steps toward reducing our CO² emissions. But despite our greatest efforts, it’s impossible not to generate any emissions at all. And so, we’ve teamed up with ClimatePartner to offset all unavoidable CO² emissions. From now on, when a deuter product is bought, the volume of emissions released by the manufacture and transportation of it will be compensated for through voluntary offsetting and targeted investment in select social and climate protection projects.
