Description

A warm night’s sleep for taller people (>185 cm). The extra-long Astro down sleeping bag offers just that, thanks to a trapezoidal baffle system that keeps the down in place to prevent cold spots, ensuring you stay cozy and warm – even on cold nights. We only use down that carries the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). The Astro is also a bluesign® product, manufactured to strict environmental and social standards, with minimal impact on people or planet.

30D PA Ripstop

Thanks to its extremely high weave density, highly water-repellent and breathable at the same time, the feather-light microfibre cover fabric protects the filling from clumping due to moisture - from the outside as well as the inside. The extremely fine, down-, fibre- and windproof nylon ripstop material impresses with its supple feel. Stability and abrasion resistance are achieved via the fine "ripstop" structure. It is produced according to the strict Bluesign® standard.

  • * D stands for denier. This describes the yarn weight. 600D corresponds to 600 grams per 9000 meters.
  • * PES stands for polyester. PES fibres are very tear and abrasion resistant and hardly absorb moisture.
  • * PA stands for polyamide. PA fibres are extremely durable and abrasion-resistant. They are also characterized by high elasticity and low weight.

THE LIMIT TEMPERATURE is based on the lowest temperature at which an ‘average’ adult male (25 yrs. / 70 kg / 173 cm) can expect to sleep comfortably in a relaxed position. An experienced user can optimise the insulation qualities by his choice of clothing and further factors.

THE EXTREME TEMPERATURE is a survival only rating for an ‘average’ adult woman. They won't be able to sleep, but they will remain alive for six hours without the risk of death by hypothermia. Nevertheless there will still be a risk of other damages (such as frostbite).

This product is free from PFAS (per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances). PFAS have water, dirt and grease repellent properties but they are persistent chemicals and harmful to people, animals, and the environment.
