Deuter USA to Sponsor GORE-TEX® Elk Mountains Grand Traverse Race
Longmont, Co (March 23, 2012) – Deuter USA, a market leader of technical packs, is proud to be a participating sponsor of the 15th Annual GORE-TEX® Elk Mountains Grand Traverse Race, which takes place March 30th, 2012.
An extreme endurance race, the Grand Traverse spans 40 miles between the towns of Crested Butte and Aspen, CO starting at midnight, often in sub-zero temperatures. The course is based on the mail routes of the 1880’s, connecting the two towns. Teams of two racers will climb more than 7,800 vertical feet in this elite self-supported backcountry race, which proves a true testing ground for athletes and their gear.
“This race is a natural fit with our products and the Deuter brand,” says Christian Mason, Director of Sales and Marketing at Deuter USA. “It’s one of the most intense ski races in the United States and we’re proud to be a part of it.”
