high density woven polyamide 420 denier fabric with high strength and lightweight makes it especially suitable for Trans Alpine and Aircontact packs. PU coating. Shiny finish.
This technical 330-denier Nylon material is the perfect balance between durability at minimal weight. Thicker reinforcing threads woven into it give it that Ripstop look and technical shiny surface. Top quality PU coating. Exclusively used for the Aircontact models.
The regular chain-and-weft weaving of stronger threads creates a strong, but light 420 den nylon fabric with good abrasion and rip stopping characteristics. The outside is water-repellent, the inside is PU coated.
It is a fine weave of 190 den threads for the Deuter rain covers. It is light with small packing dimensions. The PU coating grants excellent water-resistance.
Comparable to the 190 “Deuter-Taffeta-Nylon”. Taffeta Carbonite however, is highly waterproof due to the special carbonite PU coating. This together with it’s Ripstop weave for increased tear resistance, makes it ideal for our waterproof accessories.
Hyperlon is a very tough, extremely durable synthetic rubber noted for its resistance to the effects of ultraviolet light, heat, and ageing. It is a popular high-performance fabric and one of the most common materials used to make inflatable boats. Because Hyperlon is a very robust and abrasion resistant fabric, its characteristics are ideal for areas that must withstand extreme wear and tear – (Examples: Attack helmet holder, front panel of Freerider Pro)
Neoprene is a family of synthetic rubbers that are produced by polymerization of chloroprene. It is usually covered on both sides with fabric (nylon or lycra), protecting the surface making it less prone to damage. Neoprene was one of the first synthetic rubbers to be developed and has been incorporated into numerous products popular in daily life, from wetsuits to protective gear. We use neoprene hip belts on our Ski Backpacks Freerider and Descentor allowing a snug fit. Furthermore, neoprene is well suited for its flexibility, shock-protection applications and provides excellent insulation against cold, used in our Neo belts, camera case and insulation tube.
Made from 600 den Polyester thread and with a thick PU coating, this multi-purpose fabric is robust and lightweight. It is most suitable for backpacks, used in average conditions to keep the weight to a minimum. “Deuter Super-Polytex BS” is produced in accordance to the strict bluesign standard. Same functions and durability qualities as Deuter-Super-Polytex.
We use this attractive lining material with Diamond Ripstop Look for our Exosphere series. Soft to the touch, breathable and with its Ripstop construction also tear proof. Additional PU coating in the Exosphere series means this highly functional outer lining fabric protects the Dryzone areas – especially exposed areas such as the head and feet – from damp and moisture.
First rate, ultra-fine 30 denier outer shell material that is extremely tightly woven. The tight weave makes this feather light micro-fibre material strong, windproof, durable, quick drying and down proof. Reinforcement threads in the weft and weave provide further rip-stopping qualities. The ideal outer shell material for the new Deuter down sleeping bags.
A soft, breathable, non-moisture sensitive, and fast drying shell material. Strong and durable, used on the Starlight EXP and Little Star EXP models.
A soft, durable, lightweight and fast drying nylon fabric. The tight weave makes this micro-fibre down proof, wind proof and water resistant.
A soft yet durable fabric that is also water-repellent. This shell material it is the perfect protection of the Space foot area.

Synthetic hollow fibres are processed to a filling fleece (by thermal bonding). To ensure good compression and high loft, silicone is added. Remarkable insulation rating, tear resistant and durable.
A special thermal process turns polyester fibres into top quality technical Thermo ProLoft® insulating fleece. The combination of dense and hollow fibres results in the prefect blend between durability, weight and warmth properties – a fleece material that is easy care and durable yet compact and offers excellent insulation at minimal weight. The synthetic fibres also absorb very little moisture. Short drying times, excellent loft and thus insulation properties even when damp, are all advantageous characteristics. Deuter Thermo ProLoft® is also coated with a thin layer of silicone to give it good lofting properties.
Composition 90/10: The deciding factor in a down sleeping bag is the down quality. Primarily this is a matter of the weight ratio of down to small feather mixture, which is expressed in percent. Deuter uses only the high performance filling ratio of 90% down to 10% small feather. Fill power / cuin: High quality sleeping bags should have a fill power of at least 650 cuin. This measurement in cubic inches per ounce of down shows the quality of the loft and expansion power of the filling. High quality down has a loft volume of 650 cu in (10.6 litres) per 1 ounce (28.3g). A loft of 550 cu in, and higher is good; of 650 - excellent; and 800 is almost impossible. In the end: the higher the volume the better the insulation value.
Polydown Soft Polyester fibre
Composition 95/5: The deciding factor in a down sleeping bag is the down quality. Primarily this is a matter of the weight ratio of down to small feather mixture, which is expressed in percent. Deuter uses only the high performance filling ratio of 95% down to 5% small feather. DOWN QUALITY: The bigger the down, the better the loft and therefore the better the insulation. A mature bird provides bigger down than a young bird. Geese have bigger down than ducks. Further, birds that live in a rough climate grow more and bigger down. Accordingly, down from a Northern cool region is more stable and has a bigger volume. DEUTER USES THE BEST QUALITY GOOSE DOWN.
